A night under the stars in the heart of Dartmoor. There’s something unforgettable about watching the sun set over the moor, cooking dinner outdoors and falling asleep beneath a sky full of stars.
Our overnight wild camping experience offers the opportunity to slow down and immerse yourself in one of England’s most remarkable landscapes. We’ll leave the busy paths behind and journey on foot into the quieter parts of Dartmoor, carrying everything we need for the night.
Along the way we’ll pause to take in the views, discover ancient stone circles and granite tors, and enjoy the simple pleasure of walking through this wild landscape at an unhurried pace.
As evening approaches we’ll choose a suitable camping spot, prepare our evening meal and settle in for a peaceful night beneath the stars. Without the distractions of everyday life, many people find that these quiet moments become the most memorable.
After breakfast the next morning we’ll continue our walk before finishing back where we started, hopefully feeling restored and with a sense of calm only gained from spending time in the wild.
What to expect
A fully guided overnight wild camping adventure on Dartmoor
Small groups (maximum 6 participants)
Approximately 15-20 km of walking over two days (but this can be shortened or lengthened depending on the wishes of the group)
A relaxed pace with plenty of time to stop, explore and enjoy the landscape
Guidance on wild camping, navigation and Leave No Trace principles
Visits to some of Dartmoor's beautiful and historic locations, with routes chosen according to weather and group ability
Who is it for?
This experience is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness who enjoys walking and would like to experience the magic of spending a night outdoors. Previous wild camping experience isn't necessary—I'll guide you through everything you need to know.
